Relay for Life of Marshall County will kick off the 2017 fundraising efforts with a special luminary ceremony this Thursday, October 20th at 7 p.m. on the Court House lawn in Plymouth.
Citizens are invited to purchase a luminary bag at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Plymouth Fire Department or WTCA for a $10 donation.
Luminary bags are a way to memorialize a loved one who lost their battle with cancer or honor someone battling the disease or someone who beat cancer. Each luminaria can be personalized with a name, photo, message or drawing. You can take your purchased luminary bag and decorate it yourself or you can leave it and someone will decorate it for you.
There is nothing more beautiful than the site of hundreds of luminary bags glowing in the evening and lining the sidewalks around the court house.
Everyone is encouraged to come spend a short time at the court house Thursday evening at 7 for the Relay for Life of Marshall County Kick-off event.
