Riverside hosted a 5th grade Boys basketball Tournament on Saturday that saw Triton win the A team Championship and Riverside winning the B team Championship.

In the B tournament, Riverside won their first game vs. Knox 20 – 11.  Skyler Ganshorn had 6 points and Tanner Gault and Jaiden Hundt added 4.  Triton won their side of the bracket setting up the championship game.

In the Championship game, Riverside jumped out to a lead and never looked back, winning 23-14.  Colton Sellers and Haiden Hundt did an excellent job leading the team on offense.  Scoreing for the Rockets was Tanner Gault with 5, Skyler Ganshorn with 4, and Juan Jimenez, Davis Yoder, Payton Bonebrake, Jaiden Hundt, Colton Sellers, Martin Baca, and Ryan Jolly with 2.  The boys finish their season with an 8-1 record.

On the A side, the Rockets lost a heart breaker on a three ball that was launched by Bremen with time expired.  The Rockets struggled offensively, scoring only 7 points in the first half, and being down 10-7 at half.  After taking a four point lead into the 4th, some missed front ends of one and ones hurt the Rockets as Bremen capitalized on the mistakes.    Bremen won the game 19-18.  Defensive MVP for the game was Jaxson Warner.
