PLYMOUTH – Several senior members of Plymouth’s Rockies made their college plans clear with a group signing announcement at PHS on Friday morning.

Plymouth quarterback Jack Barron revealed his plans to accept a scholarship offer from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. The Tigers are a Division III program that finished their year at 7-2 and tied for second place in the tough North Coast Athletic Conference. Jack is the son of Plymouth head football coach John and wife Betsy Barron.

Linebacker Matt Friar has decided to pursue his future at a college that will be introducing football for the first time in fall. Cincinnati Christian University an NAIA school will play their inaugural season in the Mid South Conference. Matt is the son of Tom and Debbie Friar.

Linebacker and running back Jeremy Splix will also stay in Indiana, opting to accept a scholarship at Division II University of Indianapolis. U of Indy is a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Splix is the son of Nick and Cheryl Splix.
