The Culver Distance Camp will be featuring an evening talk with two of the biggest names in running and one of the most decorated runners in Indiana High School history at7:30 p.m.Monday, June 13.

The session, entitled “Hear the Legends” features marathon greats Bill Rodgers and Jaqueline Hansen, and 2008 Culver Girls Academy graduate Alex Banfich. They will be sharing their life stories, successes, struggles, and their magical performances in running and life.

Rodgers is a four-time winner of the Boston Marathon, twice breaking the U.S. record. He is a member of the 1976 Olympic Team, National Distance Hall of Fame, and one of the most recognized runners in the world.

Hansen is a former marathon world record holder, 1984 Olympic Marathon qualifier, USA Track Hall of Fame member, women’s pioneer runner, and a leader of the Title IX movement.

Banfich, originally from Plymouth, is one of the most decorated and successful athletes in Indiana High School history, winning eight state championships at Culver and earning All-American honors at Princeton University.
