Myers’ arrest stems from a traffic stop in Starke County on February 8, 2016 when he was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and paraphernalia. Two other people in the vehicle admitted to purchasing pseudophedrine in Valparaiso for Mr. Myers.

The Starke County officer contacted ISP Trooper Jason Faulstich and told him that Shawn cooks meth at his residence at 16608 Mill Pond Trail. A search warrant was issued and police located two containers with meth residue, a digital scale and three partially burnt rolling papers with green plant material which tested positive for meth. Within the residence police also located cold packs, empty pseudoephedrine blisster pack, drain cleaner, liquid drain cleaner and an HGL generator along with other items. Police also located a backpack hidden under a pile of leaves directly across the street from Shawn Myers’s residence.

Myers was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of 2 or more Chemical Reagents, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
