taser

Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel will replace several of the departments Tasers after getting the commissioner’s approval to use the Firearms Fund for the purchase.

During Monday’s Commissioner meeting the sheriff said the department currently has 11 of the X-26 tasers and the company is no longer providing support for them. He’s been told that acquiring batteries and cartridges in the future are questionable.

Sheriff Hassel will upgrade 5 of the tasers this year at a cost of $8,316.64 with plans to replace the remaining 6 in 2017.
