Shar Snedeker Shoot-a-ThonPlymouth High School Basketball Coach Ryan Bales is inviting the community to come together this Saturday May 21st to help raise money for Sher Snedeker.

Sher is the mom of Roman Snedeker, a 5th grader in the Plymouth Community School Corporation and part of the basketball family.

Sher was diagnosed with a rare disease called Kartagener Syndrome at 6 weeks of age. Kartagener Syndrome is a very rare disease affecting the lungs. This disease has caused a severe lung infection and Sher’s body is now rejecting the antibiotics. She is in desperate need of a double lung transplant. While Sher does have insurance, the hospital informed her that her out of pocket portion must be payed up front before the surgery. The estimated cost of the surgery is $300,000 to $400,000 leaving her out of pocket portion at $60,000 to $80,000.

To help raise money the basketball family will be holding a Shoot-a-thon will be held at Plymouth High School along with a baked good sale.

Donations can be made in two ways. You can either make a one time donation or make a pledge per shot made.(Checks to be made out to Keith or Sher Snedeker) Each shooter will take 50 shots and the pledge will be multiplied by the number of shots the shooter makes to come up with a grand total.

To participate in the Shoot-a-thon please show up at the PHS this Saturday, May 21st anytime between 9 and 11 a.m. with your pledge sheet and a $5 entry fee.
