HeroinOn Wednesday March 23rd at approximately 6 p.m. Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Stay for Less Motel on a known suspended driver.

During the traffic stop, a Deputy observed a male passenger in the vehicle attempt to conceal a hypodermic syringe.  During the traffic stop Starke County K9 Zardoz indicated the presence of Narcotics in the vehicle.

During a pat down search of the driver and passenger a hypodermic syringe was located.   A search of the vehicle revealed Herion in a cigarette package, along with individual small baggies.

StarkeCounty_MugShot_Kurtis SingletonThe driver of the vehicle Kurtis Singleton, 24, of Knox was arrested for Possession of Narcotics (Heroin), Dealing Narcotics (Heroin) Driving While Suspended with a Prior and Possession of Marijuana.  He is booked into the Starke County Jail with no bond.

StarkeCOunty_MugShot_Thomas SingletonThe passenger, Thomas Singleton, 29, of Knox was arrested for Possession of Narcotics (Heroin), Dealing Narcotics (Heroin) and Unlawful Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe.  He was also held with no bond.
