Freshmen Orientation 2016On Wednesday, January 13, Plymouth High School will hold a Freshmen Orientation Program for students and their parents from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event is designed to create a smooth transition for students who plan or would like to attend Plymouth High School this fall. From 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the PHS cafeteria, parents and students will have the opportunity to visit departmental displays and speak with staff members about programs and courses offered at Plymouth High School.

Freshmen Orientation is open to students and parents from any school district. If students and parents are exploring the possibility of transferring into the Plymouth Community School Corporation for the 2016-2017 school year or in the near future… this event is the perfect time to come see why PHS is ranked among the top high schools in the Hoosier state!

A team of dedicated counselors, teachers, and administrators will be on hand to answer questions that students and parents may have about the Plymouth Community School Corporation, Plymouth High School, and the Weidner School of Inquiry at Plymouth High School.

At 6:30 p.m., the program will start in the auditorium beginning with a brief welcome, followed by a short video that spotlights successful PHS alumni and why choosing PHS is the best choice for high school students when it comes to discovering their passions and their future. Immediately following will be interactive and informational breakout sessions pertaining to the following:

  • Preparing for College Readiness
  • Preparing for Career Readiness
  • And “A Life in the Day of a PHS Student”

All eighth grade students who plan on attending PHS in the fall and their parents are encouraged to attend this exciting event, as well as parents and students from outside of the Plymouth Community School Corporation.
