fLOOR Store & MoreRocky Talcott the owner of the Floor Store and More in Downtown Plymouth was granted a second grant from the city to reimburse exterior work on his building.

Last week the Plymouth Common Council Monday approved a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant for the downtown business.   The program offers up to a 20% rebate for exterior improvements.

Last year Talcott received a rebate grant for painting and a new awning. Doing improvements in two phases, Talcott said, he planned to do the roof and gutters this year but an emergency situation with the leaky roof couldn’t wait and so he had to do the roof before the end of 2015.

Rocky told members of the Common Council he wants to install new gutters and presented two quotes for the project: $2,577 from Gutter Guys and $947 from Advanced Guttering Plus from Rochester.   His preference is the low bid.

Talcott said since he had an emergency situation he only got one quote for $8,000.  While the council doesn’t normally approve a project with only one quote, they understood the situation the Plymouth businessman was in.

The City Council unanimously approved a 20% Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant for Rocky Talcott of the Floor Store and More.
