The eighth grade students in the new Project Lead The Way Medical Detectives class at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School completed phase one of the sheep brain dissection. Students identified and labeled the 11 visible parts of the sheep brain in the superior (top) view then turned the brain over to the Inferior (bottom) view and labeled the 5 visible parts there. While students did not enjoy the smell, they loved the hand on labeling of a real sheep brain.

The cafeteria at Triton Elementary School was packed before school on Friday morning, September 16th, as Triton Dads attended the first “Doughnuts for Dads” of this school year.
Jeannine Soriano references her brain diagram as Maddison Ritchison puts the label on the interior of the sheep’s brain. This activity is a part of the Project Lead the Way’s eighth grade Medical Detectives class at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School. The class is taught by Tracie Vermillion.
