The Plymouth Optimist Club will host their annual Tri-Star Basketball Contest this Sunday, January 31st in the multipurpose gym at Plymouth High School.
Tri-Star is the competition that boys and girls age 8 to 13 compete while dribbling, passing and shooting a basketball. The competition is scored by age groups, and one in each of the age and gender groups will win the chance to move on to the next level of competition. The finals will be held at the Fieldhouse in New Castle on March 6th.
Each child participating in the contest will need an adult to sign a permission slip. Registration is Sunday at 12 p.m. with the competition starting at 1 p.m. and each child should wear gym shoes.
