Triton High School DECA members competed Thursday, January 14th, at the District 2 competition.
DECA is a business club that develops future leaders in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. All the students had a great day evaluating real-life business scenarios and coming up with a solution to present to the judges. Students also gained valuable social skills by interacting with the judges and students from other schools.
This is only Triton’s second year competing in DECA and there are two students who qualified for the state DECA competition in Indianapolis. Gavin Eads qualified with his 3rd place finish in Accounting Applications and Cody Anderson qualified with his 4th place finish in Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
Mrs. Tracie Vermillion, Triton business teacher, is the coach of the DECA team.
