cemeteryA tour of five Union Township cemeteries is planned for Tuesday, June 21.   A short history and interesting facts of each cemetery will be given by Anita Watts Kopetski.  This event is planned by the Marshall County Genealogical Society with an open invitation to the public. 

The event will last from about 5:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. as the Genealogical Society hosts a Progressive Picnic in the following cemeteries.  For more details call the museum at 936-2306.

This is not a strict schedule and it may run ahead or behind the estimated time.  The tentative schedule is Burr Oak at 5:00 p.m., Bucklew at 5:45p.m., Poplar Grove/Maxinkuckee IOOF at 6:30 p.m., Culver Masonic/Old Union at 7:15 p.m., and Washington/Lawson 8:00 p.m.

Any and all are invited to attend.  Reservations are not required, but if you are planning to attend, we’d like to know how much food to prepare. Short of heavy rain or snow, the event will take place as planned.  Please call a reservation to 936-2306 leave a message for Karin Rettinger, just so there is a head count for the refreshments.

    Carpools will leave from the city parking lot west of the Plymouth Public Library at 4:45, but the tour may be joined at any point.  Refreshments served at each stop courtesy of the genealogical society.
