The Plymouth Walgreens Store is pleased to announce a collaboration with Vote&Vax.org, in which Walgreens will be providing voters at the Knights of Columbus 901 East Jefferson Street the opportunity to get a flu shot.
Vote&Vax.org is an organization that was founded in 2008 by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The vision of Vote&Vax is simple; allow access to the flu shot to more Americans by allowing them the opportunity to get a flu shot before or after they vote. Influenza is the fifth leading cause of deaths in older adults age 50 or older, providing a flu shot at a polling place allows many older adults the opportunity to get protect from the flu virus.
Walgreens will have a registered pharmacist and a certified pharmacy technician available from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus, to give all voters the opportunity to get flu shot.
Walgreens will continue to provide flu shots daily at their store locations during pharmacy hours with no appointment necessary, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to stay well this flu season
