Shane Weedling, the man accused of murder in the death of 2 year old Serenity Wilson nearly a year ago in Plymouth will appear in Marshall Superior Court I today.
Weedling was arrested last September on charges of Murder, Aggravated Battery, Deadly Child Neglect and Possession of Marijuana. He had been babysitting his girlfriend, Krysti Lavanway’s daughter and allegedly beat the child for wetting the bed.
Lavanway was sentenced last December to 35 years in prison for failing to seek medical attention for her unconscious daughter in a reasonable amount of time.
Weedling’s trial is set for September 27th.
