DSC_0487 (640x415)WESTVILLE, IN – Westville High School senior Sydnie Chasko recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play softball for Ancilla College.

 

Chasko begins her fourth season on varsity this year after being named an All-Area catcher, Most Improved, and Mental Attitude Award winners. She hit .377 for the Blackhawks last season with a .456 on base percentage, and team leading .507 slugging percentage. Chasko will complete her career at Westville with seven varsity letters, three of which came in volleyball.

 

“I chose Ancilla because I really felt comfortable with the close, personable atmosphere I experienced during my visits,” said Chasko. “I am truly looking forward to an amazing experience playing softball, meeting new friends, and excelling academically, to the best of my ability.”

 

“Sydnie is a great young lady,” began Ancilla coach Scott Reese. “She will be an asset for us behind the plate and at the plate. I am excited that Sydnie has decided to join the Ancilla softball family.”

 

Sydnie is the daughter of Rudy and Kellie Chasko of Westville. While at Ancilla she plans on majoring in Elementary Education.
