DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College Women’s basketball team lost to Muskegon Community College on Wednesday night, 63-58, to wrap up their regular season play with a 16-13 overall record and 9-9 MCCAA conference record.

Leading for the Chargers was freshman Donshelle Daniels who pulled a double-double for the night with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Quaynika Merriweather added 12 points to the Ancilla scoreboard and Brynda Krueger and Alexsis Miller each pulled down seven rebounds.

“We did not start the game with the focus, determination, and intensity that we have been playing with the last few games,” said head coach Tom Robbins. “As a result, we found ourselves in a hole at half time. The second half we played the way we needed to be successful but unfortunately the deficit was too much to overcome.”

The Chargers will head to Mid-Michigan Community College on Tuesday, March 7th for the first round of the NJCAA District G Tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30p.m.
