May 26, 2017

Riverside_RelayForLife2017The 6th grade Meteors Team, along with the rest of Riverside Intermediate school, have continued to have fundraisers that have benefited Marshall County’s Relay for Life Foundation.

This year’s class planned and organized numerous events that have raised, in excess of $10,000, for the local organization.

These funds were officially presented to: Judy Newburg, Marilyn King, and Audrey Oliver, of the American Cancer Society, during a Spirit Assembly at Riverside Intermediate on Thursday, May 25th.

Fundraisers have included: Movie Nights, Escape Room Events, Basketball Tournaments, Read-Ins, Dress-Up Days, and culminated with a Neon Dance Party, on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Many members of the class, including their facilitators, have also formed a “Riverside Rockets” team and will be attending the Marshall County-Relay for Life events on Saturday, June 17, at River Park Square; downtown Plymouth.

Congratulations Rockets on your efforts!
