Interest in Prevent Child Abuse Marshall County Uncertain

July 4, 2017

Prevent Child Abuse INdianaIn a letter to members and supports of the Prevent Child Abuse Marshall County, current interim president Diane Fisher told everyone April Cooper recently resigned her position as president of the group.

Fisher also noted that attendance during their last several monthly meeting “has been very low.”   Held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Plymouth Public Library, Fisher said, “I am not sure why the interest has fallen off, however, I know that many of you were passionate about Preventing Child Abuse in the beginning. If you remember, we had an overwhelming outpouring from the community in the wake of Serenity’s death. Since that incident, there have been other children suffer and die at the hands of an abuser. It is imperative that we continue our efforts to prevent child abuse in our county. The only way we can do it is with YOU, our members and supporters.”

Fisher is appealing to members and the community to find the time to support the efforts in preventing child abuse and get involved to help make that change happen. She warned, “If we have no interest from the community in continuing our efforts, we may be forced to take a look at PCAMC and determine if there is a way for us to continue our efforts.”

The next meeting of Prevent Child Abuse Marshall County will be held on Wednesday, July 5th at the Plymouth Public Library at 5:00pm.

Please attend and let’s make PCAMC great again. They are currently planning a July 29thmotorcycle ride with FIST RC and have a lot that needs to be handled before the event.

If for any reason you cannot make the July meeting but are still interested in supporting PCAMC, please contact Fisher via e-mail at diane.hemingerhouse@yahoo.com.
