Go Gold Night

The Plymouth High School volleyball team is hosting Go Gold Night at 6:00 p.m. in the varsity gym on Thursday, September 28, when they take on Goshen High School.

The event is called Go Gold Night – for a good cause. Gold is the color that nationally represents pediatric cancer awareness, and both volleyball teams are coming together in honor to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Both teams are asking the community to bring unopened boxes of children character bandages. The bandages will be donated to the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department at Beacon Children’s Hospital in South Bend.

A group called, “Believe in the Shine” is sponsoring the Go Gold Night game. They operate strictly on donations and their goal is to raise awareness for pediatric cancer as well as support local pediatric cancer families through random acts of kindness.

Car Masters, J&T Meister Construction and John and Carol Nelson of AFLAC have kindly donated the shirts that will be worn by both teams the evening of the Go Gold Night volleyball game.

Cost to get in the volleyball game is $6 for adults.
