Board of Public Works and Safety Approves Dr. Plumlee Request

October 24, 2017

City NEwsAt the request of downtown dentist Dr. Plumlee the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved the creation of two temporary parking passes for his patients.

Mayor Mark Senter said he met with Plumlee who was looking for a solution to a problem.  Sometimes a patient will be in the dental office more than 2 hours and occasionally they have received a parking ticket.

A discussion with Police Chief Dave Bacon determined the best solution at this time would be to create a parking pass that could be placed in the windshield of patient’s vehicle while they are in Dr. Plumlee’s office.  This will let the code enforcement officer know the overdue parking violation is due to being in the dentist office and no ticket will be written.

While there was slight concern that approving this request might open up to other businesses the board of public works and safety unanimously approved the request.
