Tree Lighting2017Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter is happy to announce that the theme for this year’s Lighted Holiday Parade is “Santa’s Workshop”.  Local organizations and businesses are encouraged to participate by entering a lighted unit in the parade.  The Holiday Parade has become an awesome addition to an already fun evening in downtown Plymouth!  Applications for parade units are available at the Mayor’s Office, 574-936-6717

Santa Claus will come into downtown on a Plymouth Fire truck and after the tree lighting in River Park Square, Santa will be at the Marshall County Museum for pictures.  Brandi Sullivan will be there to take photos but you are welcome to bring your own camera, too.  The trains in the museum will be running, this Saturday starting at 11:00 am that day.

Following the lighted parade and the official city’s tree lighting the Plymouth Park Department will unveil this year’s light show.  River Park Square will dance with lights and Christmas music all season long.  You won’t want to miss it!

Hot chocolate and cookies will be available Saturday starting at 5:00 pm on Garro Street between the Museum and the Marshall County Visitor’s Bureau.  Kids will be able to create their own Christmas ornament at the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce office starting at 4:30 pm and at the Heartland Artists Gallery from 6:00-7:00 pm.

This is a wonderful way to kick off the Holiday Season!  Bring your family and enjoy another wonderful evening in Downtown Plymouth!
