A hot day didn’t slow down play at the 22nd annual Ancilla College Golf Classic.  The event was held at Swan Lake Resort on Monday, June 12. Although the temperature reached into the 90’s, forty teams took to the courses to help raise money for the growing college.

The tournament, which followed a four-person Florida scramble format, raised over $30,000 for the Annual Fund which supports student grants and scholarships for the college. The winning team on the Black course was Lake City Bank made up of Dale Cramer, Chris Wiggins, Cory McClarnon, and Jon Berger; and on the Silver course was Don Marohn’s team of Don Marohn, Jon Berger, Doug Anspach, and Aaron Berger, both teams shot 56.

Emily Hutsell, Development & Alumni Relations Manager said, “I am thrilled with the results and excited that Ancilla College was so well represented by our faculty, staff and students at the event. It was hot, but there was a nice breeze, plenty of water, and the players seemed to have a good time.”
Once again, the community pulled together to benefit the students at Ancilla College. “So much work goes into the event, but it is worth it when you see the difference the funds make for our students” said Hutsell.  “We are blessed to be in a community that gives back in so many ways. We enjoy offering a fun way for people to get involved with Ancilla.”  Ancilla College would like to thank the following for making the day a success:
