MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Ancilla pounded out 14 hits and ran out to a lead they never relinquished taking their first win of the new season by an 8-7 final over College of Lake County.
Brandon Terry went four and two thirds innings scattering six hits and surrendering four earned runs to get the win for Ancilla. He was relieved by Brandon Dagley and Juan Silfa who got the save pitching the final inning and a two thirds.
The offensive attack was led by two hit games from Caleb Mikesell, Thomas Butler, Elijah Nixon, Klint Stille, and Silfa. Silfa, Butler, and Leighton Turnpaugh all doubled in the game. Butler and Silfa also had a pair of RBI’s.
The Chargers are 1-6 and take on Penn State Allegheny and Catholic University in two games Thursday.
