Bremen-Firemens-Festival_1For more than 60 years families have traveled from around the area to attend the Bremen Firemen’s Festival during the 4th of July holiday.

This year the festivities kick off on Tuesday evening, June 27 with the annual parade at 6 p.m. The route begins at the corner of Indiana and Plymouth streets where the procession travels east on Plymouth to East Street, then south, and ends at Sunnyside Park.  Parade watchers will enjoy the many bands, floats, clowns, marching unit, fire trucks and other units.

Luehr’s Ideal Rides are back again with up to 12 rides along with opportunities for kids and adults to win many prizes at the games of luck.

The five day festival includes food, music, games, rides, waterball, fireworks and more.

Wednesday is “Family Bargain Day” and all rides take 1 ticket starting at 6 p.m. while Thursday features “Discount Ticket Night” at the carnival with all rides 1 ticket off the regular price.   Friday
the carnival will have a $25 wrist band where one person can ride the rides as often as they like for the whole evening.
Saturday is a big day at the Bremen Firemen’s Festival.   Activities kick off with a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 10 and the 4th annual Firemen’s 5K sponsored by Southwire.  Proceeds from the run/walk benefit the Hoosier Burn Camp.

Bremen Firemens-Festival_2The carnival opens at 4.  There’s an arm wrestling competition, car and truck show from 2 to 5 sponsored by Auto Park Ford in Bremen and of course…..the gigantic FIREWORKS at 10:30
