At approximately 8:30AM Thursday morning Plymouth Assistant Police Chief Mark Owen responded to a crash at Family Express, 1351 South Michigan Street. A passenger vehicle drove through the front windows of the store.
The driver, Mary Ann Wells of Plymouth, advised she wasn’t sure what happened. It was concluded that she accidentally hit the accelerator by mistake. She was not intoxicated.
No injuries were reported but the store received significant damage.
