care and share logoThe Board of Directors for Care and Share Ministries conducted a special meeting on August 30th after their executive director was arrested and charged with multiple counts.

The board of directors made several decisions related to the situation including the suspension of services until December 31, 2017.   The Board will continue to meet each month, beginning October 4.  During this time, the Board will evaluate the ministry and their future plans.  Each meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of the month.  October’s meeting will be held at North Salem Church of God.  Other locations will be announced.

The Care and Share Board is working with United Way, churches, Ministerial Associations, and other agencies to plan for the future of this ministry.

The Board has placed Pastor Jim Irwin on an unpaid administrative leave.  The Board is also working with the police to allow a full investigation of the charges and allegations.

Board President, Reverend Jaree Kratzer said “As there remain people in need, our desire is to continue the ministry at a future time.  All those we were aware of before August 23, 2017 were assisted.   Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to follow the guidance of our Great and Merciful God in the coming days.”

Any and all donations received will be placed in Care and Share’s account and used for administrative expenses and towards the future of this ministry.

Those in need during the closure of care and Share should seek help through their township trustee and their local church.
