DONALDSON, IN – State qualifier Chazzeus Boyd has signed his National Junior College Athletic Association Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Ancilla Chargers.
A graduate of Elkhart Central, Boyd is a four-year Varsity letter winner in Wrestling. Along with qualifying for State, he was three-year All-Conference, an Honor Roll Student, and was involved in Student Leadership.
“Chaz – What a remarkable young man,” remarks Ancilla College Head Wrestling Coach Ryan Quinn. “He’s a good student, good wrestler, and humble. Chaz will be a great asset to our wrestling program.” Boyd’s projected weight class for Charger competition is 133 pounds/141 pounds.
Boyd is looking forward to pursuing an education at Ancilla and competing as a wrestler. “Coming to Ancilla makes it easier to understand how college works – simple and easy,” Boyd explains.
Boyd is the son of Candus Griffin and Walter Griffin. He will be focusing on General Studies this fall at Ancilla.
