DONALDSON, IN – In a history making win Tuesday night over Jackson College, 70-67, the Ancilla College Men’s Basketball team has advanced to the semi-final round of the NJCAA District 9 Tournament, a first for the program.

 

In a back and forth action packed game where the scored tied eight times before Ancilla grabbed the win, sophomore Dylan Phair lead the charge with 19 points followed Jair Rodgers and Franklyn Felix who put up 13 apiece. Gary Bonds and Felix led in rebounds with six each and Anderson McCoy added six assists.

 

“It wasn’t our best game of the year, but we found a way to get it done,” said head coach Aaron Butcher. “A lot of credit goes to Jackson. I thought they played really well tonight. This is a big win for the program, and we look forward to the opportunity to play again.”

 

Ancilla advances to the semi-final round that will be played on Thursday at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron, MI at 5:30p.m.
