CMA unbeaten in Early Bird wrestling tournament
CULVER – Host Culver Military Academy captured the Early Bird Wrestling Invitational Saturday, going 5-0 in pool play against Triton, Tippecanoe Valley, and Plymouth, then taking its matches against South Bend Adams and Rochester in the crossover rounds.
Several wrestlers went undefeated on the day. They included Dominic Smith (P) 106; Cade Wagner (K) and Alex Coleman (CMA); Zane DeVault (P) 126; Manzona Bryant CMA) 132; Adam Davis (CMA) 138; Eli Pack (CMA) 145; Graham Calhoun (P) and Aaron Brooke (CMA) 152; Zane Gilbreath (R) 160; Jake Trefren (CMA) 170; Michael Boland (CMA) 182; Jonathan Thomas (A) 195; and Dawson McCarty (K) and Nate LaFree (P) 220.

Plymouth’s JV also wrestled over the weekend at West Noble. Plymouth’s Diego Garcia at 220 pounds and Andrew Himes at 285 pounds were weight class champions. Tyler Richey at 132 pounds was second place in his weight class.
