Dine Around & Concert 2017

Discover Plymouth, the local Main Street program in Plymouth is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, July 15th.

The second annual Dine Around and Concert begins at 6 p.m. with a progressive dinner.  Participants will have two options for their meal.  Option one starts with appetizers by Reese’s Family Ribs served at the old NIPSCO building.  Your entrée is provided by the Brass Rail with a choice of artichoke parmesan chicken, 8 ounce sirloin or baked salmon with all the trimmings and then dessert hosted at the Marshall County Museum by Granny’s, La D’Zert Café and French Press.

Meal option two begins with appetizers at Yolanda’s and your dinner entrée at The Office which will be a trio of shiskabobs including chicken, beef and shrimp and all the trimmings.   Dessert for option number two will be hosted at the Museum by Granny’s, La D’zert Café and French Press.

The evening’s event continues with an outdoor concert in River Park Square.  The Kritters will perform from 8 until 10 p.m.   The Kritters evolved from the Northwest Indiana band, The Exports, which recorded the hit “Car Hop” in 1964. The record rose into the Top 10 of the WLS Silver Dollar Survey for three weeks, remaining in the top 100 for over 16 weeks.

The years from 1964 to 1974 produced some the most recognizable and influential music ever recorded. Not only do they replicate the sound but they also bring the feeling of that era to every performance. They do it because we lived it.  Band members include Ron Jongsma, Rick Grigsby, Tom Armellino, Bob Snare, and Ken Andersen.

Tickets to Discover Plymouth’s Dine Around and Concert on Saturday, July 15th are $40 each and’ can be purchased at the Mayor’s Officer, Chamber of Commerce, County Tourism, Pilot News and WTCA.  Those wishing to attend the concert only can pay $10 at the gate.
