Jellystone_signBob Aloi, an engineer with Territorial Engineering appeared before the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday to discuss drainage issues at Jellystone Campground.

Aloi said he’s been working on drainage issues at the park for a few years and has completed a few projects to make improvements.

While he knows there is run-off from the farm field to the north of the park, he believes the park is also experiencing storm-water runoff from Redwood Road and Plymouth LaPorte Trail.   He had pictures that showed water trapped in the roadside ditches.

The commissioners asked Aloi to contact Jason Peters at the County Highway Department for possible ditch work along the roadways and the County Surveyor to look at regulated drains in the area.
