At approximately 10:35 P.M. on Friday, July 28th the Marshall County Dispatch received a report of a male subject entering vehicles in the 13,000 block of 5th Road.

Just prior to officers from the Marshall County Police Department responding to the  area a report was made about a vehicle driving through the front yard of a residence in the 4,000 block of Michigan Road.  The vehicle was described as a green Ford station wagon with a temporary license plate.

Responding officers located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop.  During the traffic stop the driver of the vehicle, 41 year old Jason P. White of Florida, appeared to be intoxicated.  Upon contacting the owner of the vehicle it was also found that the vehicle had been stolen.  Mr. White was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a certified chemical test.  He was later transported to the Marshall County Jail and was lodged for several charges including Auto Theft and Operating While Intoxicated.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
