unnamedPLYMOUTH (AUGUST 19, 2017) –A caution on lap 13 gave Plymouth’s Tom Grall all the momentum he needed to take the lead from Gary’s Randy Lambert in the Thunder Stock series at Plymouth Speedway Saturday night.

Lambert finished second, and Wade Clemmons of Hobart was third. Fourth was Clint Hall of Fowler and finishing fifth was Chad McLean of Hobart.

“Randy was hard to pass, but we’re glad to be up here,” Grall said of his first-place finish.

In the Modified race, Rensselaer’s Devin Wright and Lake Village’s Jamie Lomax drew a red flag when their cars got tangled during a caution on Lap 1. Racing resumed about 15 minutes later, only for another caution entering turn 2 involving several cars. It was green-flag racing for another five laps, until another caution came out. Bradley Jameson of Logansport maintained the lead through yet another caution in Turn 4 that took out Valparaiso’s Frank Marshall and Lake Village’s Jamie Lomax. Marshall, starting 14th, was hard-charging to the front and in fourth when a crash collected him.

A few more cautions caused a maximum time restraint to get the race in, and at 12 laps and 40 minutes, the green flag waved, albeit very quickly, as a caution came out on lap 14. That gave the checkers to Jameson; second going to Mitch Bailey; third Darek Snyder; fourth Roger Cavness and fifth Josh Knebel.

“I was just hoping to run the whole 25 laps, but it feels good to get a win,” Jameson said, thanking his family and friends for coming out to the track.
