Friday evening about 10:45 County Police Officer Wozniak arrested a LaPaz man following a traffic stop in the area of Main and Walnut Streets.
The driver, 27 year old Neil Alan Holderman exited the vehicle and ran from the officer. After a short foot pursuit Officer Wozniak was able to apprehend Holderman.
It was determined that Holderman was under the influence of alcohol and a baggie of suspected marijuana was located inside the vehicle.
Mr. Holderman was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a certified test which showed he was almost three times over the legal limit for alcohol.
Officer Wozniak also found Holderman to be operating a vehicle with a driver’s license status of Habitual Traffic Violator. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .15% or More, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Resisting Law Enforcement and Operating After Being Adjudged a HTO. Holderman’s cash bond was set at $5,000.
