On Thursday evening, July 13, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Jellystone Campground at 7719 Redwood Road, wet of Plymouth for the report of a dog bite.
A 10 year old boy from Knox had been bit by a dog in the campground. During the investigation it was determined the boy had went to a neighbor’s lot and the dog had bit him multiple times.
The child was transported to Saint Joseph Health Systems in Plymouth for his injuries.
The police report says the lot owner was also bitten when he attempted help with the attack. The lot owner refused assistance from Plymouth EMS.
The dog is a Pitbull mix and is current with its vaccinations. The Marshall County Humane Society is assisting with the investigation and has the dog in their possession for health reasons.
Plymouth Fire Department also assisted in this case.
