Dan Kunde_SJHS Plymouth

Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) is pleased to announce that Dan Kunde has been named administrator for SJHS Plymouth Medical Center. Kunde will be responsible for clinical quality and service, as well as the financial performance of the medical center. In addition, he will lead the development and implementation of performance management strategies. He joins the leadership team with Christopher Karam, president of Mishawaka and Plymouth Medical Centers, and Loretta Schmidt, SJHS chief nursing officer.

Kunde joined Plymouth Medical Center in 2015 as the Emergency Department manager. Since then, his role was expanded to oversee Critical Care, EMS and the development and implementation of the Simulation Lab.

“Dan has been an invaluable part of the team, and we are privileged to have him serve in this new capacity,” said Karam. “In his new role, he will continue to help us further our commitment to care for all who need it in Marshall County and surrounding areas.”

Kunde has been a registered nurse since 2011, and holds a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University South Bend, and a Master of Nursing Administration from Bethel College. He currently serves as a board member for Leadership Marshall County, Plymouth High School Health and Science and Drug Free Marshall County.

He and his wife, Alexis, and daughter Sawyer reside in Plymouth.
