MugShot_John SimsMarshall County Police arrested a LaPorte man Tuesday night after stopping the vehicle he was in on US 21 near 16th Road and finding narcotics in the vehicle.

About 10:30 Tuesday night 45 year old John Michael Sims was stopped and found to be impaired and in possession of numerous illegal drugs. He was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior Charge, and operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Controlled Substance.  Sims was lodge on a $3,000 cash bond.
