Lincoln falls at New Prairie
NEW CARLISLE – Lincoln’s 8th grade volleyball team travelled to New Prairie Middle School Tuesday night and fell to the home team by a 25-17, 25-23.
The visiting Red Storm came back to take the lead in game two 23-22 off the tough serving of Madie Mann (nine for 10 with one ace) but were not able to hold on for the win.
The loss drops Lincoln to 2-4 early in the season.
The team was led by Clare Sheedy (11 for 11 serving with four aces, nine assists, and three kills). Maddy Figg (six for six serving, five kills, and six passes), Chloe Holten (five kills and five passes) and Olivia Newcomb (five for five serving with one ace) also played solid all-around games for Lincoln.
The Red Storm will be back in action Wednesday at LaVille.Jr/Sr High.
