The NELMSC had their conference championships on Saturday at Plymouth High School.

The 7th grade girls came up just short of a podium finish placing 4th overall. With 69 points they were only 2 points from 3rd place Crestview (71pts) and 8 points from 2nd place Wawasee (77pts). Edgewood was the overall champs with 137 points.
Medal winners were Sydney Rice who is now the conference champion in discus, and Amber Schrameyer who is the conference champion in the 200m hurdles!
Summer South scored well by coming in 2nd in Long Jump.
The 4×400 team (South, Schrameyer, Lauren Rumpler, Sara Hunter) ran a phenomenal race and shaved 10 seconds off their personal best time, but came up .8 seconds short finishing 2nd.
The 8th grade girls had hopes of winning after finishing 2nd last year as 7th graders. However, injuries to some key athletes derailed those hopes early on. The team still battled hard finishing in 3rd place. They were only 1 point behind 2nd place Riverview and 12.5 points behind champion Edgewood.
Medal winners were Claudia Marohn who is now the conference champion in the 400m dash, and the 4×400 team of Marohn, Morgan Reed, Jocelyn Sieh, and Emma Cook, who won by over 8 seconds!
Rachel Kaylor ran well despite being injured finishing 2nd in the 100m dash and 200m hurdles.
Claudia Marohn was also 2nd in High Jump.
