Operating While Intoxicated tops the list of reasons for being lodged in the Marshall County Jail in March. Right behind OWI was Driving While Suspended and then Failure to Appear. The fourth reason was Operator Never Licensed followed by Marijuana and Probation Violations at number six. Possession of Cocaine or Meth was number seven and Battery, Resisting Law Enforcement and Theft rounded out the top ten.
There were 203 jail bookings in March and the daily average jail population was 132.
County Police officer took 107 case reports, issued 257 citations, investigated 49 property damage accidents and 9 personal injury crashes last month.
