Looking at the top 10 reasons why individuals were lodged in the Marshall County Jail in May.  Starting at the bottom and working up you find Civil at number 10, Probation Violation at number 9, Court Order Hearings was number 8 and Theft was 7th.  Moving up the list, Possession of Cocaine/meth was 6th, Operator Never Licensed at 5, Marijuana was 4th, Failure to Appear 3rd, Driving While Suspended 2nd and the number one reason…Operating While Intoxicated topped the list of offenses.

There were a total of 200 booked into the jail in May while the average daily population was 147.

In May County Police Officers initiated 102 case reports, wrote 217 citations, investigated 47 property damage accidents and 7 personal injury accidents.
