Crash investigation_VehicularA crash on US 31 Wednesday afternoon sent a Mishawaka woman to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. 

Danielle E. Evanoff was traveling north on US 31, south of 5A Road, when for unknown reasons she drifted off of the roadway. Evanoff attempted to correct the path of the vehicle, however in doing so she overcorrected causing her to lose control of the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving. The vehicle struck the cable barrier in the grass median and began rolling. The vehicle came to rest on its top facing east.

Evanoff was able to exit the vehicle with the assistance of a passerby.

The Marshall County Sheriff`s Department was assisted at the scene by the Indiana State Police, LaPaz Fire & EMS, and Reichert & Knepp Towing.
