PHS_AFS2017The PHS AFS Club expressed gratitude for their AFS host families and their host school – Plymouth High School! Club sponsors and students prepared festive holiday snacks and messages as a pre-Easter celebration last Friday in the staff lounge to show teachers and staff “Some Bunny Loves You”!

This year, PHS has six foreign exchange students with the help of AFS; a nonprofit that offers intercultural learning experiences through study abroad.

The foreign exchange students are as follows: Ben Herrmann of Germany, Diwan Kizilhan of Germany, Alvaro Sala Ayala of Spain, Salome Lochmann of Switzerland, Eric Wuersten of Switzerland, and Elena Oechsner of Germany.

During the month of April, AFS-USA holds a monthlong celebration they term Appreciation Month. The emphasis is on thanking and rewarding thousands of host families across the US that opens their homes and hearts to AFS Exchange Students. Due to just returning from a two-week spring break, Plymouth High School AFS Club members recognized PHS and their host families on Friday.
