The Plymouth boys golf team wrapped up NLC round robin play Thursday evening with two solid wins, one over the host Northwood Panthers, and one over the visiting Wawasee Warriors at McCormick Creek in Nappannee.  Attached full results.

Medalist on the night was Senior all-state candidate Micah Calhoun with an even par 36.  On the night Micah carded two birdies and two bogeys.  Micah’s driver was solid as was his ball striking.
Sophomore Bryce Carmichael continued his hot streak carding a 40.  Bryce’s round featured an eagle on the tough par 4 #5, where he holed out from the rough for a deuce.  Rounding out the scoring for the Pilgrims were Hudson Yoder 41 and Grant Clady 44.
The JV continued their solid improvement.  Tuesday was a team season low, tonight the guys duplicated that effort edging out Northwood by the slimmest of margins.  Tonight’s two wins earned the JV a perfect conference season 7-0 and improves their overall record to 11-1.
Freshmen Andrew Himes took home JV Medalist with a 41, his season best.  Freshmen Matthew Gerard fired a 45, his season best. Chapman Yoder carded a 45 and Tristen Moyer 47.
The Varsity finished the round robin portion of NLC play with a 6-1 record, our best finish since 1993, when we last won the conference.  Our only loss was to Warsaw.  Warsaw was defeated by Northridge this evening forcing a three-way tie heading into this Saturday’s NLC Tournament hosted at Pretty Lake Golf Club in Plymouth.  Play is set to begin at 10amfeaturing all three tied teams (Plymouth, Northridge, Warsaw) in the same pairing battling for the title of outright conference champs.
