The #18 ranked Plymouth boys golf team remained perfect on the season Wednesday night defeating the visiting Concord Minutemen at Pretty Lake Golf Club.  The Varsity record now stands 8-0 and 1-0 in the conference.  The JV sits at 5-1 and 1-0 in the conference.

The Varsity was led by the tandem of Grant Clady and Micah Calhoun both firing 38’s.  Brendin Green from Concord also carded a 38 to create a log jam for Medalist.
Grant Clady’s round was impressive.  Grant birdied his second hole of the night and proceeded to play the next four holes at even par.  His bid for a birdie at #14 came up just short.  At 15 two consecutive tee shots found out-of-bounds, resulting in a quadruple bogey.  Grant bounced back with a par #16 and closed his round with a birdie on #17 to finish.  If not for the consecutive OB’s (+4) Grant’s round was easily on pace to be under par!
Micah Calhoun started with a birdie on his first hole #11 and played the next three at even par.  Like Grant, Micah found trouble on #15 and made triple bogey.  Micah went on to par his remaining holes, missing ever so close on the back to back par 5 finishing holes to make birdies.
The JV was led by sophomore Chapman Yoder’s 41.  The JV team score of 180 was their season best to date.   This is the second consecutive event the JV has posted their season low!  Our young guys are really starting to make some strides.  Tonight the JV was able to post 4 of 5 scores in the 40’s for the first time all season.
Both Varsity & JV squads sit 1-0 in NLC round robin play.  A tough battle Thursday at Pretty Lake looms large as Elkhart Memorial and Warsaw come to town.  Warsaw posted a 155 at home Monday evening and enter tomorrow night’s match 2-0 in NLC play.
Opening NLC play with back to back home matches offers our guys a real advantage, especially with our stiffest competition tomorrow on our home course.  It’s important we pick up victories at home before venturing on the road for two matches next week.
