The Plymouth JV started their 2017 campaign with a 12 team invitational at Rozella Ford in Warsaw Saturday morning. After a 45 minute frost delay to start the Triton Varsity took home top honors defending their home course. The tournament featured a mix of JV and Varsity squads.
Bryce Carmichael cared a personal best 82 earning Medalist honors! Bryce’s round featured three birdies and a meager 30 putts. 41’s on both nines was impressive and consistent.
As a team our guys got more comfortable as the day went along. The delay at the start made for a tougher than normal start. Cold crisp conditions proved hard to get loose at the start however the guys settled in and improved as the sun warmed things up.
I was proud of the freshmen trio of Himes, Hutsell, and Bagley playing in their first high school event today along side upperclassmen who hit the ball further at each point. Our young guys have tons of upside!
