CrashInvestigation_2Friday afternoon Plymouth Police Officer Tim Taberski released the details of a serious injury accident Wednesday night about 11:25.

Video footage from Walmart cameras show that traffic on US 30 had the green light and was moving when a northbound passenger vehicle driven by 23 year old Jade Sorba Monterey passed a vehicle stopped at the light and entered the intersection.

Her car was struck by an eastbound semi driven by 68 year old Forster Providence of Brooklyn NY.  The inpact of the crash sent both vehicles onto the north side of US 30 with the semi ending up in the empty field east of Arby’s.

Sorba was transported to the trauma center at Memorial Hospital in South Bend and Providence was treated at Saint Joseph Health Systems in Plymouth.

Plymouth Police were assisted by Plymouth Fire and EMS.
