Plymouth swimmers strong at NorthWood
NAPANNEE – Plymouth’s swim teams were strong at NorthWood with the boys taking a 113-71 win and the girls tying NorthWood at 93.
Kirk Hettich was a double individual winner in the 100 freestyle with a 56.04, the 100 backstroke with a 1:08.19. Individual firsts were posted by Mitch Rose in the 200 freestyle with a 2:16.27, Daniel Stauffer in the 50 yard freestyle with a 25.28, Justin Moser with a 183.8 score in diving, Alex Vancza in the 100 yard butterfly with a 1:09.75, Daniel Stauffer in the 100 breaststroke 1:15.29.
All three Plymouth relay teams – the boys 200 medley relay team of Kirk Hettich, Alex Vancza, Daniel Stauffer and Andrew Cashion, the 200 free relay team of Rose, Cashion, Stauffer and Gavin Hartle, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Vancza, Cameron Riddle, Rose and Hettich took firsts.
For the girls individual firsts were posted by Rachel Jacobs in the 200 IM with a 2:44.13, Leah Smith in the 50 free with a 29.22, Ava LoMagro in the 500 free with a 6:23.24, Rachel Jacobs in the 100 butterfly with a 1:21.60, Summer Smith in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:32, Gracie Holm in the 100 yard backstroke with a 1:09.13, the 400 free relay team of Leah Smith, Paige Young, LoMagro and Holm won their event.
